Named author of architectural notes; later design attributions remain provisional

A. M. Atkinson

Architecture and art

What the reviewed record states

The retained compilation includes a section expressly titled ‘Notes by Mr. A. M. Atkinson on Christ the King Church.’ Atkinson describes the campus and identifies Byrne as designer of the church and rectory.

Attributed account

A later account says Atkinson designed the convent and the 1938 wall and fence. The same account marks the convent attribution as a belief, and other retained accounts differ on the convent architect.

Open questions

Establish Atkinson’s full name and professional record, then compare signed drawings and contracts for the convent, wall, fence, and other campus work.

A linked folder is a finding aid or source location, not proof that every item in it has been reviewed. Descriptions distinguish source text from independent verification.
