Clergy and leadership
What the reviewed record states
Father White identifies Jerry McCarthy as an associate pastor at Christ the King from 1978 to 1996, describes his correspondence with parishioners, and records his substantial personal support for Marquette and the school endowment.
Attributed account
The book says sculptor Clayton Koss was commissioned to portray McCarthy in a chainsaw sculpture. The sculpture and commission file have not been examined here.
Open questions
Link the sculpture to the surviving object, artist record, commission, and photographs; reconcile his full identity with the abbreviated clergy-folder label.
